The Province of Alberta recognizes the combination of both FOODSAFE Level 1 and Level 2 certificates as equivalent to that province's food handler training requirement.
FOODSAFE teaching and learning materials are also used in Ontario and Prince Edward Island.

If you plan to use FOODSAFE materials outside of BC, contact your local health authority to be sure that FOODSAFE meets your jurisdiction's food safety training requirements.
Instructors who teach the FOODSAFE curriculum outside of BC may use the Official FOODSAFE Curriculum logo on promotional materials and certificates. Contact the FOODSAFE Secretariat to request the Official FOODSAFE Curriculum logo.
The FOODSAFE logo that appears at the top of this web page may not be used on certificates or promotional materials outside of British Columbia.
